It is intended to test cables with straight through connections not cables with reversed or transposed connections like some LAN crossover cables or reverse wired telephone cables. Tests shields in 1394 and USB cables. The WireMaster XR-5 includes: BNC terminator, BNC, RJ-11 and RJ-45 jumper cables, padded, cordura carrying case, 9 volt battery, instruction manual. The WireMaster XR-5 checks for: continuity, miswiring, opens, shorts, crossover, grounding.
